Welcome to Vermilion Dam Lodge on Beautiful Lake Vermilion rated among the finest northern Minnesota resorts
We are located on Lake Vermilion, one of Northern Minnesota's most pristine lakes. Lake Vermilion is known for its great Minnesota fishing, a wide variety of fish populations including muskie, walleye, bass, northern, and sunfish, and its breathtaking scenery – a landscape of hilly rock structures carved out by Glaciers. An ideal location for the vacationer either looking to enjoy the peace and tranquility of the outdoors, or to fish a lake stocked yearly, and boasting a long history of record-size fish that would motivate any angler. Lake Vermilion is made up of 365 islands, 1200 miles of shoreline and extends 42 miles from one end to the other.
Our resort, Vermilion Dam Lodge, is tucked into Wolf Bay on the Northwest section of the lake, headwater to the Vermilion River and next to the Superior National Forest. This not only affords us an exclusive and impressive view from any window in our resort cabins, but also grants our guests the flexibility to fish, boat or canoe the masses of Lake Vermilion or the quietness of the river, just a few steps away. Our nineteen Minnesota cabins can accommodate from 2-15 people, many include fireplaces and Jacuzzis, and will please the guest looking to be their own chef or have their meals cooked for them with our American plan.
Whether you're gathering a group for fishing or seeking a family vacation, we offer a large array of amenities to satisfy your needs. In the lodge, there is wireless internet access, a phone booth with a desk, a laundramat, general store, and a game room. Outdoor amenities include a heated pool, dock service, gazebo, boats on Wolf Lake and Vermilion River, and a sandy beach filled with canoes, paddleboats and kayaks. There are many activities to keep the whole family busy at Vermilion Dam Lodge.
